converse méxico se ufana de llevar el arte por el suelo!, dentro de sus actividades de responsabilidad social se creó pintando pasos, proyecto en el que la participan además de la marca deportiva, el maestro juan alcazar y el taller de arte Casa Serra todos parte de la comunidad de pinotepa de don luis, oaxaca.
los artistas han transportado la flora y fauna de la región, tema recurrente en el arte tradicional mixteco, a la lona de la popular línea de tenis chuck taylor. impresos con tinta ecológica e indeleble la colección de edición limitada ha recorrido ya cientos de kilometros, siendo expuesta en el museo rufino tamayo (noviembre de 2004) y la H2005 (feria internacional de diseño amsterdam, holanda. diciembre 2005) entre otras.
la colección está a la venta en méxico, italia, alemania, holanda, estados unidos, españa y japón. el cien por ciento de la venta de los tenis será entregada a la comunidad mixteca de pinotepa de don luis, oaxaca.
converse méxico is taking art by the ground! within its activities of social responsibility it was created pintando pasos (painting steps), the project involves, beside the sport brand, artist juan alcazar and casa serra art workshop, they all part of the community of pinotepa de don luis, oaxaca.
the artists have transported the region´s flora and fauna, recurrent subject in the traditional mixteco art , to the canvas of the popular line of tennis chuck taylor. printed with ecological and indelible ink the limited edition collection has crossed hundreds of kilometers already, being shown at museo rufino tamayo (november 2004) and at the H2005 (international fair of design amsterdam, holland. december 2005) among others.
the collection is on sale in mexico, italy, germany, holland, the united states, spain and japan. the one hundred percent of the tennis sale will be given to the mixteca community of pinotepa de don luis, oaxaca.
